Frank Gruber was born February 2, 1904, in Elmer, Minnesota and died December 9, 1969 in Santa Monica, California. But in those sixty-five years, Gruber became one of the most prolific writers of pulp fiction, writing more than 300 stories for over 40 pulp magazines, as well as over sixty novels, and over 200 screenplays and television scripts.
